Years ago, after several life-altering changes, I found myself forced to continue in a world I no longer recognized. My new standing was made even harder by long-held thoughts that life had somehow robbed me of the existence I believed I should have had.

With that belief as my mantra, I created endless scenarios that reinforced my own “woe is me” story. Yet even in the midst of that self-sabotage, there was something deeper within me struggling to surface.

Writing the words “Of All The People In The World To Be… I Am Glad That I Am Me!” became a mission of love. That mission led me to believe I needed a business to carry the message forward, and Love Your Me, LLC was born.

The LoveYourMe® directive, along with several companion ideas, was trademarked. Four websites were built but never launched. Videos were created. Products were produced. Memorabilia was crafted to perfection — and carefully packed away in boxes.

Equipped with all the bells and whistles, I was well on my way to nowhere.

Only later did I come to understand something profound: I had been living my very own LoveYourMe® journey, long before I realized it.

It was not until that realization — and the acceptance that came with it — that another life-altering change occurred. This time, it moved in the right direction.

A true book launch began to take shape. My website was created from scratch. The pieces that had once felt scattered began to assemble themselves with purpose.

Phew.

Like the question of the chicken and the egg, I am not entirely sure which came first — my beliefs changing me, or me changing my beliefs. In truth, they are one and the same. The difference is simply execution.

Only now can I say with certainty:

Through starts, stops, and moments when I gave up entirely, I have arrived where I always envisioned — standing at the precipice of something with life-changing potential.

LoveYourMe® did not begin as a brand or a campaign.
It began as a quiet struggle to understand my own place in a life that no longer looked the way I once imagined.

For years the message lived in pieces — a book, ideas, websites, and plans that never quite found their moment. What I did not realize at the time was that the journey itself was the lesson. I was living my own LoveYourMe® long before I understood it.

Only later did I see that believing in ourselves is not something that happens once. It happens again and again — through doubt, persistence, and the willingness to begin again.
